VISA

 

All visas processed in 4 working days and to be used within 90 days since issue date. Methods of payment acceptable are eftpos, visa or master card, money order or bank cheque. Application by mail need to include return registered envelope and can be sent to:

SOCIAL OR BUSINESS VISA (211)

A single entry for 60 (sixty) days stay. However, this visa can be extended with the support of the sponsor in Indonesia. This visa is not a working permit.

Requirements:

Completed visa application form;

1(one)passport size photograph;

original passport valid for more than 6(six)months beyond the intended length of stay;

for business trip, a letter of sponsor from the sending company; and a letter of invitation from the host company in Indonesia mentioning the purpose of visit;

for social visit, a letter of sponsor from a resident in Indonesia; and a copy of the sponsor’s ID;

copy of round trip airline ticket/itinerary;

fee : $ 60.

 

MULTIPLE ENTRY BUSINESS VISA (212)

Multiple entry business visa is valid for 1(one)year for several entries into Indonesia without exceeding 60(sixty)days stay for each visit. This type of visa can not be converted to a working visa and the length of stay cannot be extended.

Requirements:

Completed visa application form;

1(one)passport size photo;

original passport valid for more than 6(six)months beyond the intended length of stay;

approval letter from the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta;

fee: $165.

 

TOURIST VISIT VISA (211)

A single entry tourist visa is given to travellers who intend to stay in Indonesia on holiday/leisure purpose with a maximum stay of 60(sixty)days with no renewal.

Requirements:

Completed visa application form;

1(one)passport size photo attached;

original passport valid for at least 6 months;

copy of round trip airline ticket/itinerary;

fee: $60.

 

TEMPORARY STAY VISA

A temporary stay visa is valid for a maximum stay of 1(one)year or more. It can be used as a working permit, research permit or a permit for joining a family member in Indonesia. To initiate and to get the approval, it is advisable that the sponsor/individual/organization in Indonesia submit the request for the applicant’s approval from the Directorate General of immigration in Jakarta.

 

Requirements:

Completed visa application form;

1(one)recent passport size photo;

original passport valid for more than 6(six)months beyond the intended length of stay;

approval letter from the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta,

fee: $165.

 

TRANSIT VISA

The visa is given to foreign origin who wish to make a short stop over in Indonesian territory and are on an onward journey to another country, to their country of origin, to join or work on a transport vehicle that will continue its journey outside Indonesian territory and emergencies stop over.

 

Requirements:

Visa application;

1(one)recent passport size photo;

original passport valid for more than 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay;

copy of confirmed entry and exit airline or cruise ticket;

for business, letter from sponsoring company in Indonesia;

$ 25.

 

DIPLOMATIC / OFFICIAL VISIT VISA

Diplomatic/Official Visa is given to foreign nationals bearing a Diplomatic or UN passport for the purpose of conducting diplomatic assignments or service passport on assignment for Government purposes.

 

Requirements:

Visa application;

1(one)recent passport size photo;

original passport valid for more than 6(six)months beyond the intended length of stay;

diplomatic note from Foreign Government, Diplomatic Mission or from the United Nations.

a letter of invitation from the host in Indonesia mentioning the purpose of visit;

 

JOURNALIST/MEDIA VISA

 

Following are the requirements :

Proposing letter mentioning the mission and its description, printed on your company’s letter head paper and signed by authorized person.

Passport with at least six months validity.

2 passport size photographs.

Equipment list details.

Filled-in application forms.

Visa fee AU$ 60 per application.

The visa will be processed in Perth within 4 (four) working days after an approval from the Department of Immigration in Jakarta being granted.

 

FOREIGN RESEARCH PERMIT

According to Government Decree No. 41/2006, effective since 15 December 2007, official permits for foreign researchers pursuing research activities in Indonesia will be issued by the State Ministry for Research and Technology.

Application for the research permit should be submitted to Indonesian Consulate completed with all requirements as follow:

1.

A formal letter addressed to The State Ministry of Research and Technology, a copy of which is addressed to the Indonesian Representative abroad where the researcher will obtain the visa

2.

A research proposal which contains at least: title, abstract, objectives, methodology, location, and duration of the research in Indonesia.

3.

A copy of the researcher’s passport which must be valid until six months after the completion of the proposed research.

4.

Curriculum vitae (CV) of the researcher(s).

5.

4 (four) recent close-up photographs (4x6 cm)

6.

2 (two) letters of recommendation from: [a] professor or researcher supervisor and [b] official of the institution or university where the researcher(s) employed

7.

A recommendation letter from a related Indonesian representative abroad.

8.

Letter(s) of support from Indonesian counterpart(s).

9.

Health certificate from a doctor stating that the researcher is physically and mentally in good condition to conduct the research.

10.

A letter guaranteeing sufficient fund to cover research and living expenses during conducting research in Indonesia.

11.

A list of research equipments will be brought to Indonesia, with brief technical specification and estimated value for each equipment.

12.

If researcher plans to bring his/her spouse and children, he/she must also submit a copy of marriage certificate, children birth certificate(s), copies of his/her family passports, and 4 (four) recent close-up photographs of each family member.
