
WORK AND HOLIDAY VISA
A multiple entry of work and holiday visa is valid if presented within 90 (ninety) days from the date of issuance. It is given to Australians who want to travel and work for up to 12 months in Indonesia. The work and holiday visa program is designated to encourage people to people contact and cultural exchange between Indonesia and Australia.
Who should apply for a Work and Holiday visa?
The Work and Holiday visa is for tertiary-educated people, aged 18 to 30, who want to travel and work for up to 12 months in Indonesia. This visa allows the Australian travelers to supplement the cost of the holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment.
Requirements:
- Fill out the Visa Application form.
- Holds a valid Passport (min. 18 months validity)
- Recommendation letter from DIAC (Department of Immigration and Citizenship of Australia)
- Holds University qualifications or has completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate studies.
- Must not have previously held Work and Holiday Visa
- Has a return/onward ticket and evidence of sufficient funds (generally AUD$ 5000)
- Has at least functional Bahasa Indonesia
- Have good health and good character

People who are granted Work and Holiday visas must not:
There will be a yearly limit of 100 ‘Work and Holiday’ visas granted to Indonesian applicants and a limit of 100 ‘Work and Holiday’ visas granted to Australian applicants. And the Work and Holiday Visa can not be extended.
Application fee:
At the Indonesian Consulate:
- AUD$ 7.00 admission fee is required when applicants submit the application.
- The process will take up to 2 weeks,
- AUD$134 for the Visa
During the Arrival at Indonesian Entry Port:
- Rp. 1.000.000,- for the ITAS (must pay when arrive at the Entry Port)
- Rp. 700.000,- for the MREP (must pay when arrive at the Entry Port)
- Rp. 50.000,- for Foto Biometrik (must pay when arrive at the Entry Port)
